We had an absolutely incredible experience at Kenji Onakase and will absolutely be back. We did the Omakase experience at the sushi bar with Chef Matt, and it was truly the best dining experience my husband and I have ever had. Hands down. The fish was absolutely outstanding and each course was thoughtfully prepared with an amazing combination of flavors and textures. If you're a "sushi snob" this will quickly become your go-to place. If you're not as sold on sushi, my husband who typically orders heavily fried rolls and avoids sashimi at all costs could not get enough of Chef Matt's creations. 100/10 HIGHLY recommend.
Best sushi experience i've had in the states...
This place has blown me away, completely! Came in on a whim a few weeks ago, and was treated to the Chef's Omakase experience at the bar. We have since been THREE TIMES with plans for a fourth next week. This is hands down the best Sushi experience I've had in the states, and rivals even most of those found overseas. Chef Matt does an excellent job with both the menu and the preparation. This is the best restaurant in Louisiana, and you owe it to yourself to come check it out! Make your reservation for the "experience", I promise you won't be disappointed.

This place is the bomb. It's probably the best omakase I have had outside of Japan. Amazing sushi with local flavors makes it a unique experience. The talent of Chef Tu, along with his awesome personality and mastery of combining the fish with local and traditional flavors, is not to be missed. This has become one of our favorite omakase restaurants in the world. The entire team was excellent and a shout out to Gabriel. We will definitely be back.
